For users with a high number of ASINs, we recommend using the bulk Cost Upload feature. You can learn more about bulk uploading your cost of goods here.
If you have a manageable amount of ASINs, you can add your cost of goods and VAT rate information directly in the table - simply follow the steps below.
Where can I find the Cost Manager Table?
You can find the Cost Manager inside the Profit tool. Click "Cost Manager" in the secondary Navigation, as shown below:
What’s the Cost Manager Table?
The Cost Manager Table is where you can enter costs for individual ASINs. The costs need to be entered with the same currency as the respective marketplace's revenue - eg. pounds in the UK marketplace. Costs are not reflected across marketplaces - you must add them to each marketplace individually.
Tips for those in EU Marketplaces
Unit costs should be entered with net prices (= excl. VAT). The VAT amount is calculated based on the selling price, not the purchasing price.
Making your data even more accurate by defining Cost Periods
Sellics allows you to define periods for certain costs in order to keep your data in the Profit Overview table as accurate as possible. To define a Cost Period, start by clicking "Show SKU Costs" as shown in the picture above. This will unfurl your costs. Click the “Edit” icon next to the date in the Current Period column.
You will be prompted to add a new cost period. Simply input your cost data, Save, and close the modal. The changes will be immediately reflected in the Profit Overview module.
Editing your VAT rates in the VAT Table
The VAT Table is where you can specify the VAT rate for an individual product. By default, Sellics assigns all items the VAT rate of your selected marketplace; the VAT Table is where you can adjust the rates for any products you sell with a nonstandard VAT rates.
To modify your VAT rate, select the VAT number of any child ASIN like in the photo above.
