If you are using the Amazon Seller Central reports like you may notice what seem like discrepancies between different Seller Central reports and Sellics reports. This is because Seller Central reports use different data for different reports, depending on the goal of the report. Amazon records some of the most commonly confusing discrepancies in their Seller Central help documentation. It is likely that discrepancies that you notice between a Seller Central report and a Sellics report is the result of the the report excluding or including data points that differ from those in Profit.
The reasons for divergent data we most typically see include:
Seller Central not considering Refunds
Depending on which reports in Seller Central you are looking at, refunds may not be included. In Sellics, refunds are automatically deducted from the revenue.
2. Seller Central not considering Canceled Orders
Depending on the viewed Seller Central report, canceled orders are either not considered, or updated at a different pace. The Seller Central sales dashboard, for instance, does not consider them at all, thereby keeping sales higher than they are.
3. Seller Central excludes Shipping Revenue
Depending on which reports in Seller Central you are looking at, shipping revenue may not be included.
4. Different Handling of Uncompleted Orders
Deviations within the past week can result from the fact that Amazon feeds its API reports and various reports inside Seller Central from different databases with different synchronisation cycles.
Depending on the Seller Central report being viewed, new orders may therefore be shown at a different pace, and only have complete/correct data after an order is complete.
For the past 1 - 3 days this may therefore be a frequent occurrence and it is recommended not to make any major decisions based on this timeframe's data.
5. North America / Europe as Default Markets
Keep in mind that Sellics will show either North America or Europe when you enter the Profit dashboard, ie. all of the respective marketplaces combined.
6. Different Handling of Sales via Promotions
Sellics shows sales via Promotions considering the full (normal) price, while subtracting the promo-value in the costs section.
This is the way most reports in Seller Central handle promotions too, but some reports may reduce the sales directly by the value of the price reduction.
7. "Last 7 / 30 Days" Time-Frame Excludes Current Day
When choosing a time-frame of the "last x days" within Sellics, the current day will by default not be included. Some Seller Central Reports will, however, include the current day.
